About the role
Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Dietician to join their team on a casual basis, 16 hours/week (2 days). The dietician will be responsible for creating the diets of patients and maintaining proper dietary standards.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Licensed Dietitian (required)
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude needed to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to maintaining assigned work hours:
- Has sufficient endurance to perform tasks over a long period of time.
Ability to perform essential job functions:
- Must have the ability to perform essential functions without posing a “direct threat” to resident or other staff.
Essential Functions:
- Performs nutritional assessment of new and existing residents
- Develops residents care plan with measurable goals quarterly or as needed; updates care plans as required
- Evaluates resident's outcome at least quarterly
- Calculates nutritional needs of all tube fed residents upon admission
- Consults with nursing department to evaluate needs of patients
- With the assistance of the Food Service Director: Create menu plans that are both appealing to the residents, meet dietary guidelines and adheres to the department budget.
