About the role

Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Dietician to join their team on a casual basis, 16 hours/week (2 days).  The dietician will be responsible for creating the diets of patients and maintaining proper dietary standards.

 

 

Education:     

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
    • Licensed Dietitian (required)

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude needed to provide excellent customer service. 

Ability to maintaining assigned work hours:

  • Has sufficient endurance to perform tasks over a long period of time.

Ability to perform essential job functions:

  • Must have the ability to perform essential functions without posing a “direct threat” to resident or other staff.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs nutritional assessment of new and existing residents
  • Develops residents care plan with measurable goals quarterly or as needed; updates care plans as required
  • Evaluates resident's outcome at least quarterly
  • Calculates nutritional needs of all tube fed residents upon admission
  • Consults with nursing department to evaluate needs of patients
  • With the assistance of the Food Service Director: Create menu plans that are both appealing to the residents, meet dietary guidelines and adheres to the department budget.
