Technical Project Manager

What success looks like in this role:

Job Profile Summary:
Plans, manages, and coordinates all aspects of complex technical projects from initiation to final delivery, overseeing the complete end-to-end project lifecycle. Projects may encompass hardware and software installations, system upgrades, infrastructure maintenance, application development, or other specialized IT initiatives. Works closely with IT teams, internal stakeholders, and business partners to define project scope, gather requirements, and conduct feasibility and impact assessments. Develops comprehensive project plans, allocates resources, and manages timelines, budgets, and risks. Oversees all implementation processes including progress monitoring, change control, quality assurance, testing, documentation, user training, and ensuring successful, on-time delivery within budget constraints.

Team Coordination

• serve as point of contact for the network operations, engineering and architecture teams, helping to prioritize workloads

• facilitate daily and weekly meetings throughout the teams to improve clarity and accountability

• coordinate distribution of responsibilities and tasks across teams to ensure effectivity and that progress is monitored

• act as a buffer for the team by managing distractions, and escalating blockers

Process Improvement and Governance

• map and document processes; work with team members to formalize workflows for BAU activities (i.e. request-, change-, incident management)

• ensure adherence to contractual obligations and existing global processes

• support the tower lead to establish priorities and ensure alignment with contractual obligations, strategic goals

Coaching and Mentorship

• Facilitate adherence to formalized processes; mentor/coach the team members during day to day activities, making sure that they understand how they contribute to create value for the client

• Encourage cross-functional collaboration and help build confidence among team members to take ownership of their roles

• Foster a growth mindset encouraging proactive problem/solving, knowledge sharing and practice of continuous improvement

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with the tower lead and the lead architect to report progress on key project, operational activities and team improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure expectations are continuously managed, and deliverables are tangible and achievable as well as achieved.

• Act as a liaison between team members and external stakeholders ensuring clear communication and alignment.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Professional Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in operations management, service delivery, or project management

• Previous experience as team lead or agile coach in a cross-functional technical team

• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams managing competing priorities

Skills:

• Facilitation skills: ability to drive meetings, workshops and discussions

• Problem-solving mindset: proactive in identifying challenges and proposing creative, practical solutions

• Knowledge of ITIL practices

• Organizational skills: capable of tracking multiple streams of work and ensuring timely delivery of commitments
