What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen and process employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors entering and exiting the facility in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification and access authorization.
- Inspect and screen deliveries, packages, and personal items as required by site policy, and document findings per post requirements.
- Operate screening equipment and/or conduct manual screening as assigned, following established procedures and escalation steps.
- Monitor access points such as entrances, exits, and checkpoint lanes, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or removal of property.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports for screening activity, visitor access, incidents, and unusual conditions, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Observe for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or prohibited items, and escalate concerns through the chain of command per site guidelines.
- Provide directions and assistance to employees, visitors, and drivers to support orderly movement through screening and access control areas.
- Support traffic flow at checkpoints and staging areas by communicating with site personnel, coordinating access, and maintaining an orderly queue when required.
- Use two-way radios, telephones, and/or computer systems to communicate status updates, request assistance, and document screening-related activity.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as directed. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
