By applying for the IT & Strategy Talent Programme you can become 1 of 23 talents working towards that goal. Each of the 23 positions in the program is unique and has its own specific responsibilities and challenges. This is a two-year programme with a strong focus on your development. You will have an individual development plan aiming at a targeted competence profile after two years and building blocks with learning goals towards that target. As part of the programme, you can look forward to assignments/rotations aimed at giving you a chance to really get into a project and deliver value. 

Your role as a Talent - Application Engineer  

Customer IT International is a young and dynamic department. Most of all we pay a big contribution to a lot of critical systems and platforms within Vattenfall. We focus on building high quality web applications that are delivered to our end customers. We give them opportunity to utilize Vattenfall energy services and to contribute to our mission: “Fossil-free living within one generation”. Be part of our team!

Your daily activities:

• You will be part of an agile team.
• Your key responsibility will be to develop Java-based applications.
• You will be part of our DevOps culture with strong focus on security.
• You will work with Azure cloud solution.
• You will have a possibility to experience our full IT organization.
• Together we will craft your personal development path.

Location  
You will be working in the department of Web & Mobile Solutions Alpha and the location for this position is Katowice or Gliwice. At this point of time we also work remotely.

Qualifications

Who are you? 

• Open to work within international team.
• Communicative command of English language.
• Motivated to develop yourself and learn new things.
• Keen to contribute to Vattenfall mission “Fossil-free living within one generation.”
• Willing to deliver high quality and secure solutions.

As a Talent – Application Engineer you recognize yourself in the following: 

• You have at least six months of professional experience with Java or Frontend technologies (Angular/Vue).
• You went through at least one professional (several weeks) training in Java or Frontend (Angular/Vue) development.
• Communicative command of English language.
• Focused to develop yourself further in the development and DevOps fields.
• Bachelor or master degree in engineering background (Computer Science) is an asset.
• Experience with DevOps culture is an asset.
• Experience with Azure cloud is an asset.
