As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• at least one (1) year of experience in Real Estate
• knowledge of property management principles
• knowledge and understanding of retail environment
• knowledge and understanding of legal terminology and practices
• knowledge of construction and architectural design as it pertains to maintenance, remodels, signage, renovations, etc.
• knowledge of state/city/county ordinances and codes
• knowledge and understanding of operating expenses and which expenses are reimbursable within the common area maintenance section of the lease
• knowledge of accounting principles
• knowledge of fundamental real estate
• knowledge of maintenance issues that may arise with properties (e.g., roof care, maintenance and replacement requirements, parking lot asphalt care, maintenance, replacement, etc.) and proper methods of repair
• basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)
• strong negotiation skills, techniques, and strategies
• ability to read, negotiate and understand legal documents/contracts
• ability to multi-task and make decisions independently
• ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• physical ability to access roofs
• willingness to travel, including overnight and extended periods of time, to perform job duties
• willingness to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, and/or holidays
• must be at least 21 years of age
• must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• three (3) or more years of  experience in the Publix Real Estate department or similar environment
• knowledge of Publix CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement), WIN (Work Improvement Now), and QDP (Quality Decision Process)
