Job Description

As a Security Professional - Residential Patrol - Overnight Shift in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more .

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in access control at a residential location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, providing a reassuring presence and delivering exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of individuals, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with property management and/or law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
