United Health Services (UHS) is seeking Access Care Representatives to join our Emergency Department team, where every connection matters. In this frontline role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families seeking urgent care—greeting them with compassion, verifying essential information, and supporting smooth and timely registration in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range:

$17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience

You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.

Job Responsibilities:

• Register patients in the EPIC system promptly and accurately upon arrival to the Emergency Department

• Obtain all required patient signatures in compliance with state and federal regulations

• Interview patients to verify and update demographic information, including address, phone number, and emergency contacts

• Confirm insurance coverage and eligibility, and update details in the system as necessary
• Collect co-pays and other point-of-service payments when applicable
• Scan and upload necessary documents into the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Review and maintain the registration work queue regularly to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Provide professional, compassionate service to patients and families in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical team members to support seamless patient flow
• Follow organizational protocols to ensure data privacy, compliance, and patient safety

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with two (2) years experience in similar field

Preferred:

• Associate’s Degree, or 5 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree

• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
