Speech Language Center Program Manager

The Speech Language Center Program Manager will support the Director of the Speech & Language Center (SLC) at the Institute for Well-Being (IWB) in overseeing daily operations and implementing clinic policies. Assist the SLC Director in providing support to clinical staff, including speech language pathologists. Manage workload of graduate assistants. Coordinate off-campus placements and on-campus student, faculty and client scheduling. Responsible for processing and updating contracts, tracking contract progress and renewal dates for externship sites. Plan and implement outreach, off campus screenings and marketing initiatives to promote clinic services and build community partnerships.

• Support the Speech & Language Center Director in daily operations of the Speech & Language Center Clinic. 
• Support and provide oversight in the clinic as required, and address issues involving students and clients as they arise.
• Assist in creating on-campus clinic schedule, considering student, client and supervisor availability. Communicate with affected parties regarding scheduling obligations and needs in timely manner. Address scheduling conflicts as they arise.
• Collaborate with Speech & Language Center and Hearing & Balance Center Directors for securing Off-Campus Clinical Placements each semester, including maintaining spreadsheet to manage expiration dates of contracts, initiating new and renewal of contracts and approval process for submission. Communicate with students regarding placements, including requirements of external agency to ensure smooth onboarding process. Communicate with external agencies regarding contract process from initiation through acceptance for placement. Identify & investigate potential placement opportunities for students, building network by contacting agencies and weighing interest level in affiliating with the Centers.
• Provide clinical supervision. Assist with on-boarding and orientation of new clinical supervisors. Collaborate with the SLC Director in providing orientations and training for students prior to off-campus clinical placements. 
• Support Speech Language Center Director with supervision of graduate assistants and assigned duties.
• Meet with students and review documentation while preparing for on and off campus clinical placements, including providing resume review and feedback.
• Provide ongoing mentoring of students related to clinical experiences on and off campus.
• Coordinate marketing efforts and represent all IWB Centers and distribute information through community outreach, off-campus screenings, information tables at community events and publications. Prepare and review materials for dissemination in a variety of formats. Meet with local businesses/agencies to promote programs.
• Attend IWB and SLC Supervisor related meetings. 
• Manage clinic purchases and maintain University pro-card following University policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with Program and Center Directors. Support the IWB and College of Health Professions with other related duties as assigned.

Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.
