Job Summary:
This position will integrate systems, build products, and develop software services as a member of a Software Engineering team. Alongside the other team members, this engineer will implement best practices for projects, provide novel solutions to hard problems, rapidly develop prototypes, and reduce ideas to practice.
This position will initially be part of a team building software for radar systems. This position may also be responsible for supporting other product lines within Albers Innovation, including plugin development for engineering tools, supporting mission thread integration among various platforms, and developing advanced manufacturing systems including robotics and industrial controls.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Design, document, develop, integrate, and test software according to industry coding standards and practices in various programming languages, including Ruby on Rails, Java, and Rust.
· Develop intuitive user interfaces to control and status advance manufacturing systems.
· Execute complex software tasks with minimal oversight or direction.
· Participate in requirements development, project estimation, software design/code reviews, algorithm architecture alignment reviews and software performance metrics.
· Troubleshoot and fix bugs
· Deploy and manage production systems (DevOps) and participate in on-call responsibilities
· Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
