Senior Manager, IT Procurement

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

About the role

Own, facilitate, and implement the global procurement strategy and process to ensure effective deployment and follow-up of GBS IT procurement.

Main responsibilities

• Development and reassessment of processes, tools and systems, training materials, and policies that are central to GBS IT Procurement
• Lead change management efforts to continuously build new processes, analytics and performance metrics to better take out procurement opportunities across all IT procurement categories of spent
• Lead GBS IT Procurement team consisting of 13 strategic and tactical resources, located in Norway, Hungary and Brazil
• As a Senior Manager IT Procurement, you will play a vital role in optimizing category strategies, driving sourcing projects, and building effective supplier relationships
• Category Management: Drive improvement initiatives by pursuing priorities outlined in the Hardware category strategy, while also contributing to the continuous development of the strategy
• Procurement Management: Lead sourcing initiatives through all steps of the procurement process for Hardware, from development of procurement strategies, via RfXs, to negotiation and contracting
• Contract and Supplier Relationship Management: Manage the Hardware contract portfolio, develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance, execute terminations, amendments and renewals
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams, including the category team, business representatives and Indirect  Procurement team to secure alignment on initiatives and compliance with governing principles
• You need to be commercially inclined, able to handle multiple cases at once and have excellent communication skills towards both internal stakeholders and our suppliers

Your qualifications and skills

• Experience in global procurement roles focusing on IT Procurement categories
• Excellent understanding of Procurement technologies, AI, and upcoming opportunities in tech
• Leadership experience is a benefit

• Demonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience, including development of negotiating strategies
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize complex and technical information into concise and clear recommendations
• Undergraduate degree required, MBA a plus
