Regional Category Manager - Transportation & Logistics

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

dormakaba is seeking a Regional Category Manager - Transportation & Logistics based in Indianapolis (Hybrid). The Regional Category Manager - Transportation & Logistics is responsible for the management of logistics and warehouse expenses by delivering savings and assuring compliance. The ideal candidate will have proven success in the management, optimization and coordination of all Americas inbound and outbound freight including the brokerage, duty and the compliance of our products and shipments. 

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $150,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data) plus Short-Term Incentive compensation. WHAT YOU WILL DO

 

• Work with all the Americas plants and manage the inbound and outbound freight of our products. Using best practices, optimize the use of our carriers, including containers, LTL, LCL, courier, air freight, etc
• Develop the strategies for our inbound and outbound freight, optimize our costs and define best practices. Issue policies and train all our America operations
• Ensure compliance of our shipped products: USMCA, Markings, Made in rules, etc. Train our operations on the proper tools to comply
• Review and optimize America’s warehousing and distribution network to improve efficiency, reduce cost and meet customer expectation
• Managing different aspects of projects including key stakeholder buy-in, resource management and overseeing project closures

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field required
• 5+ year’s experience in Transportation, logistics, procurement or related experience
• Proficient with the SAP system or a related Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• International travel up to 10%
• Fluent in Business English

 

WHAT WE PREFER

• Experience with transportation and logistics in a manufacturing capacity
• Experience with third-party billing systems/ processes
• Bilingual (French, German or Spanish)
