What you’ll do
Companies today are generating and storing vast amounts of data. To resolve litigation and investigations, they need the right technology and a sensible strategy from a trusted partner to execute an efficient, defensible, and comprehensive plan for data collection and analysis. They need to know what the data means to resolve what happened. Our team of digital forensics experts have extensive experience with data collection and preservation, data extraction, evidence handling, forensic analysis, and expert testimony.
We are looking for a digital forensics professional to help expand our capabilities, working on a wide range of interesting and often fast-moving projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Perform forensic collections of electronic evidence from a variety of data sources, including mobile devices, computers, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems while following industry-best practices.
- Prepare collected data as required by the processing team, including the extraction and conversion of data from mobile device and computer forensic images.
- Ensure digital forensics best practices are followed to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of data collection and extraction processes.
- Comply with internal standards and best practices for preservation, collection, and management of electronic evidence, and contribute to process improvement and revisions, when needed.
- Advise clients on data collection, including document retention, custodian interviews, early scoping discussions, and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Use a problem-solving approach to overcome unexpected technical and operational challenges.
- Identify and address needs of clients and colleagues in written and oral form, including drafting reports and presentations to clients.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in digital forensics, eDiscovery, consumer technologies, and encryption.

What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Forensics, or related.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE), or other relevant industry certifications.
- 3 - 6 years of professional or consulting experience in the field of digital forensics or eDiscovery preferred.
- Preferred working experience with any of the following products or tools: Cellebrite, Oxygen Forensics, Elcomsoft suite, Magnet AXIOM, EnCase, X-Ways, Forensic Tool Kit (FTK), or other similar tools used for data collection.
- Hands-on experience with data extraction from a variety of electronic data sources.
- Familiarity with eDiscovery and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
- Ability to engage technically while also bringing commercial acumen and client facing confidence.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast‐paced, entrepreneurial environment comprised of high achievers and high client expectations.
- Strong project management skills including the ability to balance multiple tasks, self-prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday
