Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and cloud technologies. You will play a key role in improving software delivery speed and quality, ensuring security is integrated throughout the CI/CD pipeline, and working in Agile environments to deliver solutions that meet business needs.

While Oteemo hires for careers that have a variety of clients, opportunities, and locations, this first assignment will be full-time at a contractor facility in Fairfax, VA.  The work will be performed within a secure office adhering to all the standards for classified work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure faster, high-quality software releases.
• Implement SAST/DAST tools within pipelines to ensure secure code deployment.
• Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes for efficient containerized environments.
• Manage CI/CD processes for on-prem and disconnected environments, ensuring smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing solutions and progress updates.
• Implement DevSecOps solutions leveraging cloud technologies for secure and efficient operations.
• Work with Agile teams (Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Developers) using tools like Jira or Rally for sprint management.

Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
• BA/BS degree plus seven years relevant IT experience.
• Ability to develop Continuous Integration(CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) processes and pipelines to help deliver software of higher quality at greater speed.
• Experience working on-prem or in disconnected environments.
• Hands on experience with Jenkins, Maven, GitLab and Ansible.
• Strong CI/CD is required.
• Ability to implement multi stage pipelines with integration of SAST/DAST tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments with Business Analysts, Scrum masters, and sprint cycles, and leveraging tools like Jira or Rally.
• Ability to effectively communicate with different stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) and provide solutions and presentations as needed.
• Proven experience of delivering complex project engagements leveraging cloud technologies and concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Deep understanding of Test automation, various testing frameworks (such as selenium, rational functional tester, cypress or other) and best practices around pipeline integration.
• Have in-depth, hands-on experience with building platforms at scale for containerized workloads, operations, logging, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, particularly leveraging Kubernetes, AWS and/or Azure, and other cloud technologies.
