Payne + Dolan is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor in Waukesha, WI. The Position:
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, the Professional Land Surveyor will perform a wide range of land surveying functions on projects throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interacting with clients and co-workers to determine surveying scope of services to develop a proposal.
- Researching public records to determine existing property boundaries, easements and other property related land surveying information.
- Perform a wide range of land surveys including boundary, topographical and utility surveys and construction surveying.
- Prepare land division instruments and survey basemaps using AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Direct and review construction staking setup activities.
- Coordinate land survey requirements (tasks, duties, budgets, schedules, etc.) with internal team members and provide assistance to complete required tasks.
- Mentor survey field staff to ensure best practices are followed.

The Candidate:
- Professional Land Surveyors License with ability to obtain a license in Wisconsin, Michigan or Illinois after being hired.
- 3+ years of prior experience as a land surveying crew chief.
- Land division and boundary resolution experience.
- Must be a reliable, efficient self-starter with initiative and a sense of responsibility.
- Strong communication and time-management skills are required.
- Valid Driver's Licen
