Merchandise Business Analyst

Overview

The Merchandising Business Analyst position is responsible for managing strategic and tactical system projects acting as liaison between the Merchandise Business Systems and Information Systems teams.  The position works closely with the operational business teams (Merchandising, Distribution Center Logistics and Information Systems) to incorporate all factors in tracking and forecasting our business.  This position also develops and manages key business reporting of the company’s key performance indicators (KPIs): gross margin, inventory turn, GMROI, store sales and payroll.

 

*this position is not eligible for remote work. The role is located in Dallas Fort Worth (Coppell, TX specifically) and you must currently be located in the metroplex. This role will support Merchandising mostly, reporting up through the Director of Merchandise Planning. If you do not have Retail Merchandising experience, your application may not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supports our corporate merchandise reporting strategy
• Leads strategic/tactical system and reporting projects from end to end, including the development and communication of business requirements documents, project plans, and deployment plans
• Develops and analyzes inventory management reports
• Develops and analyzes merchandise marketing campaign results
• Develops and supports graphical dashboard reporting to be used on the web and mobile devices for the buying teams and Store Leadership teams
• Interacts with multiple retail business departments including Buyers, Inventory Planners, Visual Sales, Store Leadership, Finance and Creative teams
• Acquires data from multiple sources. Use of MicroStrategy, Toad, SQL, etc.
• Produces and analyzes sales and merchandise reports for campaign/visual programs
• Serves as the first point of contact for incoming data requests and systems questions from business users
