At Life is Good, we believe social media is more than a content channel - it’s where our community comes alive. We’re looking for a passionate, organized, and optimistic Social Media Manager to lead the day-to-day evolution and execution of our social platforms. In this role, you’ll work alongside an internal team of social and creative individuals to execute the social media strategy sparking optimism every day. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- You’ve grown an engaged community and can articulate how you did so
- You have prior direct social media experience at a brand, a digital agency, an online publication, or a comparable marketing organization
- You’ve used tools like Emplifi, Traackr, FourSixty, and Meta Business Suite to plan, publish, and measure content
- You’ve demonstrated a deep understanding of audiences and what they want from a brand in the social media space
- You can explain how each platform differs and what kind of content works best on each
EXTRAS THAT MATTER (please highlight in your application)
- Direct experience with influencer and creator relationship management and campaign execution
- Curiosity around the possibilities of AI in the social media space
- Keen eye/ear for social-native functionalities – text overlays, stickers, keywords, prompts, music
- Understanding of Social Commerce and product tagging
- Understanding of paid social basics (boosting content, targeting, reporting)
- Innate joy of content creation and willingness to be in the content (on camera) if/when it makes sense

- This role is based in Boston. You'll work on-site Wednesdays and Thursdays each week

YOUR JOB
Using your expertise as expressed through our brand voice, grow the Life is Good social community through strategy, ideation, and execution.
Planning & Execution
- Maintain and manage the social media calendar and editorial planning process across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, etc.), ensuring content is planned, scheduled, and published on time
- Evolve channel approaches that reflect brand priorities, cultural moments, community needs and consumer insights
- Translate strategy and creative direction into actionable content plans that align with business and marketing goals
Creative Collaboration
- Partner with our amazing in-house creative team to bring ideas to life - from short-form video and UGC to evergreen campaigns - by participating in (and often driving) internal briefings, creative presentations and reviews
- Be hands-on in concepting and, when needed, producing scrappy, reactive, and platform-native content
Community Engagement
- Monitor social platforms daily to engage with followers, participate in relevant off-channel conversations, and identify trends or content opportunities
- Collaborate with Customer Care and the Sr. Community Manager to moderate comments, respond to messages, and acknowledge community interactions while maintaining and protecting brand voice
