About the role
We are seeking an Asset Management Specialist to oversee the management, tracking, and maintenance of company assets, ensuring optimal utilization, compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining a detailed asset registry. This role requires a meticulous approach to asset lifecycle management, financial reporting, and process optimization. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, coordinating asset movements, and ensuring the longevity and reliability of all assets. This role is crucial in supporting the operational and financial needs of our AV fleet and infrastructure by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in asset tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management, financial reporting, and ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, within a technology-driven environment.
This role involves a combination of office-based work and hands-on asset inspections. Occasional travel to operational and vendor locations may be required.
What you'll do
- Maintain and manage the company’s asset records within NetSuite, ensuring accurate classification, valuation, and depreciation calculations.
- Track asset acquisitions, transfers, and disposals while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform regular reconciliations of asset records with the general ledger.
- Develop and implement asset tracking and auditing processes to maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure proper recording and reporting of all assets.
- Generate and analyze asset reports, providing insights for financial planning and decision-making.
- Assist with audits by preparing relevant asset documentation and reports.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding asset management and depreciation policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in asset management and NetSuite workflows.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in fixed asset management, accounting, or finance.
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite and fixed asset modules.
- Knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
- Experience in asset tracking, reconciliation, and depreciation calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
