About the role

Description

The Registered Nurse - Per Diem works closely with providers and medical assistants within our multidisciplinary

community health center to provide high quality and compassionate patient care. The person in this position

must be consistent and competent in the standards of registered nurse practice following the rules, policies,

and procedures developed by Tri- Cities Community Health within the scope of practice following guidelines of

the State of Washington.


Schedule: Per Diem, Mon-Fri variable shifts

Wage: $35.37 - $45.76/hour up to $58.03 DOE


Requirements

Minimum Education - Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. BSN preferred

Minimum Work Experience - One year of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting or community

health center preferred. 

Required Licenses/Certifications -

Current RN license required. Must have BLS certification. ACLS or PALS Certifications may be required

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities -

Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Fully functional in

use of Microsoft Office products. Fully functional in use of Electronic Medical

Records. Knowledge of current regulations, guidelines and the scope of

practice of Registered Nurses in the state of Washington. Skilled in the use of

standard medical equipment and instruments.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -

  1. Develops, discusses and communicates the patient plan or plan of care in accordance with company policy.
  2. Maintains accurate and complete documentation of care services provided to patients.
  3. Uses EMR system to accurately and completely document nursing functions.
  4. Perform departmental opening and closing functions as needed when assigned
  5. 5. Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to provide non–direct patient care/support services to staff.
  6. Maintains inventory and ordering of clinical supplies at a reasonable level, ensures medications are in current status, and keeps clinical area neat and clean.
  7. Functions as a role model for current and new staff.
  8. Acts as liaison to other departments (i.e. providers, laboratory, Customer Service, Radiology, etc…)
  9. Effectively responds to Codes
  10. Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure requirements including safety and specific job related hazards.
  11. Follows the Organization’s Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
  12. Promotes effective working relationships with departments/ units to meet departmental goals and objectives.
  13. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  14. Ability to carry out all other duties as assigned.
