Job Description & Summary

As a Senior Cloud & Digital Consultant in the Financial Sector at PwC, you are part of a multidisciplinary team with the goal of solving complex client issues within the context of large IT transformations.  

You provide advice to the management of leading financial institutions on strategic and operational technology matters. In addition to advising on an IT issue, you also guide the implementation of the advice.  

Projects range from a few months to two years. Most clients are large banks, insurers, asset managers and pensions providers. This includes modernising the IT landscape of banks, digitising the business models of insurers, and assisting pension providers with the shift towards the new pension contract.

Who are you? 

• 2–6 years work experience with technology consulting within a comparable technology consulting firm;
• Experience with IT strategy, data architecture and/or cloud transformations;
• Experience and affinity for Financial Sector;
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Econometrics, or another STEM discipline with clear affinity for technology;
• Sharp consulting skills: structured problem‑solving, compelling storytelling, stakeholder management, persuasive presentations.
• Fluent in English and Dutch. 

What will your work look like? 

You are part of the Financial Services Cloud & Digital team and work closely with experienced colleagues; each bringing their own unique expertise to help solve our clients' challenges. A taste of client's ask and the dynamic projects you'll dive into:

• Analyse clients’ technology landscape and business goals: facilitate interviews and workshops, map current‑state architectures, and pinpoint pain points and quick wins for cloud adoption and digital capabilities;
• Shape the future state and migration roadmap: co‑create target architectures for core banking and insurance platforms, craft phased migration waves, budget estimates, and risk‑mitigation plans;
• Translate strategy into tangible deliverables: build business cases, draft RFP requirements, evaluate vendor solutions and design proof‑of‑concepts that validate value quickly;
• Partner with leading vendors and fintechs: run joint design sessions, align on reference architectures, and ensure integration, security and compliance standards are met;
• Enable client capability build‑up: define target operating models, conduct knowledge‑transfer sessions, create playbooks and runbooks, and guide change‑management activities.

Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our business by researching emerging technological trends, refining our service propositions, and contributing to the development and delivery of training programs. You will coach junior colleagues on the job and foster a collaborative learning culture.
