Position Title: Great Plains Territory Manager (Equipment Rental Sales)
Reports to: National Sales Manager
USM ReRents, the premier aerial construction equipment re-rental company in North America supplying boom lifts, compact atrium crawlers, and telehandlers to large equipment rental yards, is seeking a regional sales manager based in the US Great Plains states to develop & support the Great Plains region.
We search for a creative, team-oriented individual to promote and sell heavy machinery equipment (re)rental. This self-directed, motivated Territory Manager will be a key member of ReRents sales team and the primary contact for customers on a regional basis.

USM ReRents provides aerial construction equipment to rental companies via wholesale rental. This model allows our customers to meet their equipment rental demand without incurring large capital expenses for these machines. This way, they can offer to their retail rental customers the very best in high-reach articulating, telescopic and specialty booms, atrium/spider compact crawlers, and high-reach / heavy-capacity telehandlers.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to a Sales Manager, the Great Plains Territory Manager is responsible for establishing new customer relationships, and further developing existing customer relationships. This requires a seasoned, professional salesperson to target regional and local construction equipment rental companies in MT, WY, ND, SD, CO, NB, KA, IA, & MO to re-rent USM's equipment fleet. The Territory Manager works closely with an Operations team of rental coordinators and fleet service professionals to best accommodate customers and maintain our equipment fleet.
As a Territory Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Finding and building relationships with new re-rental customers.
- Further developing/strengthening existing relationships with re-rental customers. Ensuring effective maintenance of customer accounts to increase re-rental sales within assigned markets.
- Growing the Great Plains territory's monthly rental revenue by driving wholesale re-rental business. Meeting and exceeding sales goals via effective regional management.
- Orchestrating the regional development of key national partners.
- Educating customers on specialized equipment uses, applications, operation, and on USM’s rental procedures and contract obligations (at both their regional and branch offices).
- Consistently maintaining records of sales activity in company CRM (Pipedrive).
- Prepare for and attend customer meetings and key regional/national trade shows and or vertical market shows to drive growth of new business.
- Allocate time to office work to create strategy, set up appointments, complete management reports, and prepare for upcoming presentations and conference calls.
- Communicate often, effectively and respectfully with rental coordinators, fleet service specialists, equipment repair technicians, and the sales manager. Be a positive contributor to our workplace.
*Compensation is a base-plus-commission arrangement. The base salary range is between $60,000 and $70,000 (paid bi-weekly). Commissions are paid on a percentage of the monthly revenue of all rentals in the territory/region (paid once per month).
Minimum Requirements:
At a minimum, job candidates must possess:
∙ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
∙ Minimum three (3) years’ verifiable sales experience - preferably with aerial work platforms (boom lifts), telehandlers and/or general rental equipment. All related capital equipment experience will be considered.
∙ Knowledge of high-reach, heavy-capacity telehandlers (telescoping material handlers) and familiarity with spider/atrium compact crawlers. OEM experience preferred.
∙ Exemplary customer-facing abilities and presentation skills.
∙ Skills working in MS Office software, CRM software, and remote meeting tools.
