Staff Accountant

Flexjet is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team at our facility in Texas at Dallas Love Field Airport. This position will be responsible for the general financial and operational accounting functions for Flexjet. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of assigned balance sheet accounts, journal entries, preparation of account reconciliations, other reports, and analyses
• Reconcile bank accounts and record monthly cash entries.
• Record monthly revenues, expenses, and other general ledger activity
• Prepare reconciliations of various financial data and maintain financial records
• Perform tasks associated with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes
• Maintain customer data in Oracle, Coordinate with billing department to ensure accuracy of customer receivables and monitor for past due amounts
• Responsible for monthly billing import into Oracle and resolving discrepancies
• Support the annual external audit
• Cross train in various tasks and aspects of accounts receivable and aircraft transactions
• Assist with any special projects assigned by management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and 0-2 years relevant experience
• Oracle experience is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
• Must have exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to productively work in a fast-paced environment independently, or within a team.
• Excellent oral/written communication and problem resolution skills are required.
• Successful candidate should be highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure and time constraints with a positive attitude.
