Overview
USU is currently hiring non-benefited teachers to provide clinical instruction to USU nursing students beginning August 19, 2024. The review of applicants will begin August of 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.
ACA Variable Position, US Work Authorization is Required
Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of student with measurable objectives for each clinical course taught.
- Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in clinical and/or simulation lab settings.
- Evaluates learning.
- Maintains and submits student evaluations and records.
- Counsels students as needed.
- Assists nursing program in maintaining an effective program.
- Maintains safe clinical conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree; MSN degree or enrolled in a BSN or MSN program.
- Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Utah (or eligible to obtain Utah licensure).
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Advertised Salary
$40.00 per hourADA
This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing. Employees must adhere to safety precautions and may be required to use protective equipment.
