The Opportunity

As the Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator, you'll have the opportunity to be responsible for the direction and preparation of lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates ranging from simple cost analysis to definitive estimates in support of proposals, project controls and project change orders.

The Team

Black & Veatch Operations develops, deploys, and maintains global resources and capabilities that guide execution and process excellence across the organization. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead/Work on E & I estimates in the following Industries 
    • Advanced Generation 
    • Battery Storage 
    • Utility Solar 
    • Fuel & Natural Resources/Process 
  • Manage multiple professionals and projects. 
  • Perform analytical reviews of estimates 
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Estimating database 
  • Works with the estimating team to create process efficiencies 
  • Coordinate with Management on the Training of early career professionals 
  • Travel to active projects to perform audits etc. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong E & I skillset 
  • Industrial Project Field experience 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • The ability to manage multiple professionals 
  • The ability to manage multiple projects 
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) proficiency 
  • Estimating Software (SAGE Timberline, InEight) experience 
  • 8 to 20 years of relevant experience 
  • 3 to 5 years of Estimating experience 
  • Field and/or Project experience 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 to 20 years of relevant experience, including some estimating experience
  • Field and/or project experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
