AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Sacramento, San Francisco or Oakland, CA.

As a Senior HVAC Mechanical Engineer, you will lead the design and optimization of complex HVAC systems, leveraging your expertise to deliver exceptional results. You will serve as a technical leader within our organization, guiding project teams and driving innovation to exceed client expectations.
Advanced Design and Analysis:
- Lead the design and analysis of sophisticated HVAC systems incorporating energy efficiency strategies, load calculations, psychometrics, and system optimization techniques.
- Conduct detailed load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout design.
Project Management / Client Engagement:
- Manage multiple HVAC projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budget oversight, and coordination with Architects, other engineering disciplines and contractors.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic consulting.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance on complex HVAC system selection, sizing, and application, including advanced control systems, chilled water systems, and air handling units.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of HVAC system performance to optimize energy efficiency and reliability.
Project Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into overall project design.

System Integration:
- Ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems with other building systems like electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

- Ensure all HVAC designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency regulations. (CA Title
