The AVP Commercial Lines is a key member of the Technical Leadership team. Provide oversight and direction to the Commercial Lines Product and Underwriting teams. Lead the Commercial Lines organization to enable MAPFRE USA to succeed in its mission to grow profitably. Drive excellence in partnering with agents to meet aggressive growth targets. Establish the overall Commercial Lines strategy to develop internal underwriting objectives and processes to maximize profits and minimize losses.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

10+ years Underwriting and / or Product experience in P&C Insurance

Deep knowledge of Commercial Lines and related coverages

Increasing experience in leadership roles at an executive level

Expertise leading, coaching and developing talent

Strong analytical and problem-solving focus

Results-driven leader who makes thoughtful decisions in an agile way

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Experience thinking strategically and implementing the strategy through sound tactics
