The Role

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.

 

Newport News Shipbuilding, division of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII-NNS) is seeking  Systems Architect to provide both functional and technical leadership for the planning, architecture and implementation of Siemens Teamcenter Architecture with  NX. Our collaborative team is responsible for defining and developing the PLM Architecture and Solution landscape. We are looking for an seasoned Architect interested in designing and building information systems to support construction of some of the largest and most complex products in the world. Our IT build and maintain systems that process information across Engineering, Planning, Operations and Manufacturing. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Teamcenter Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and manage a robust Teamcenter environment supporting enterprise PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions. In this role, you’ll work in a DevSecOps team culture, dedicated to continuous improvement, security, and operational excellence across Teamcenter application and infrastructure components. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in both Teamcenter administration and deployment, as well as experience in cloud architecture, automation, and high-availability system design.
 
 

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 14 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 12 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 9 years of experience.

One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree for Information Technology Related Positions Only:

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
