ROLE OVERVIEW

In this position, you will be a leader in our Maintenance Management Services function to build strategies, business plan and execute the business plan to support the implementation and execution of a Maintenance Maintenance Services offering to mining and heavy equipment end users, consistent with Thiess' diversification objectives, and to ensure efficient delivery to new mining customers in North America.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define team strategies and actions to ensure business objectives are achieved
• Effectively coordinate efforts across functional teams and stakeholder groups
• Deal effectively with issues, conflict and problems and escalates matters for resolution as required
• Actively support and champions change initiatives across the business
• Develop and maintains a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide clear performance expectations to personnel and reinforces correct behaviours
• Promote, encourage and foster Thiess' safety culture within the team"
• Lead, monitor and review HSE compliance and performance improvement initiatives and interventions as required.
• Perform regular inspections, audits and behavioural observations to identify hazards and risks when visiting sites
• Share knowledge with others and contribute to team discussions and meetings
• Ensure Thiess Asset Services business meets all legislative requirements and relevant standards
• Support site teams with incident investigations relevant to Thiess Asset Services business
• Performs other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years experience in relevant business leadership role
• Experience in maintenance assets in the mining industry
• Demonstrated Leadership capability
• Demonstrated systems thinking ability and design
• Technical experience with relevant Asset Services and maintenance technologies and processes
• Commercial acumen
• Innovation and strategy implementation
• Ability to negotiate with stakeholders and influence outcomes
• Team player with highly effective communication skill
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Business Development  
• Authorization to work lawfully in the USA without sponsorship from Thiess is required
• Desirable:
  • Fluency in the English & Spanish languages
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Salesforce CRM experience

 

KEY RESULTS AREAS 

• Build Thiess Asset Services strategies and plans to grow a sustainable business leveraging relationships with key partners to deliver superior value to our current and future clients  
• Ensure Thiess Asset Services projects are delivered on-time, within budget while delivering on client KPIs and success factors  
• Ensure rigorous continuous improvement programs are implemented to ensure Thiess Asset Services targets are achieved/exceeded and improvements made where required  
• Manage OEMs and technology provider relationships to ensure a high standard of support for all Thiess Asset Services projects 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Asset Services developments in the mining and adjacent industries, including client and competitor developments, plans and strategies
