The Opportunity 

The Courier & Internal Distribution Manager oversees and optimizes the daily operations of the ConvenientMD courier team and manages supply distribution to and from all sites. This role is responsible for leading a team of couriers, developing efficient delivery routes, ensuring compliance with safety and healthcare standards, and collaborating across departments to support seamless operations. The manager will drive performance through effective leadership, strategic planning, and continuous improvement of courier and internal logistics functions. 

Your Impact 

• Business Operations & Strategy
  • Oversee all aspects of courier operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and growth of the service line. 
  • Assess and adjust routes as new sites come online to maintain timely and reliable service. 
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, highlighting trends, areas for improvement, and recommended solutions. 
• Team Leadership & Development 
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of couriers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence. 
  • Provide route coverage as needed to support operational continuity. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create opportunities for professional development. 
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new couriers to ensure consistency and compliance with organizational standards. 
• Operations & Resource Management 
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure all routes are adequately covered seven days a week. 
  • Oversee inventory distribution in coordination with the Supply Chain Department, ensuring accurate tracking and fulfillment. 
  • Manage courier technology platforms, including GPS tracking, courier management software, and reporting tools, to optimize routes and communication. 
  • Ensure proper vehicle management, including scheduling preventive maintenance, monitoring usage, and maintaining logs. 
• Collaboration & Customer Service 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including service lines, clinics, and logistics departments, to ensure seamless courier operations. 
  • Maintain strong communication and service standards with internal and external customers, addressing inquiries and issues promptly. 
• Compliance, Safety & Risk Management 
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, DOT, and other healthcare-related transport regulations, maintaining accurate documentation for audits and inspections. 
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for the secure transport of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive materials. 
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize accidents, service disruptions, or delays. 
  • Create and maintain emergency preparedness plans for weather events, vehicle breakdowns, or other unforeseen disruptions.
