About the role

About the Team

The Office of the CEO function works directly with the C-Level and VP leadership team to shape and drive against our company vision and strategic growth plan. As a member of this dynamic and talented team, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenging business problems, drive change and innovation within the organization, and work alongside and learn from the exceptionally talented individuals and teams at Stitch Fix.

About the Role

As the Senior Manager of Strategy, you will be a key leader in bringing our company vision and strategy to life, while making the Stitch Fix employee experience one that sets a new standard. This inaugural role at Stitch Fix is an opportunity to create tremendous impact for our company and our people. You will work directly with leaders and key stakeholders across the business, including Tech, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Operations and Client Services. The role reports to the VP of Strategy and will be a key member of the extended leadership team.

This role is based at our San Francisco HQ.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Work closely with our Senior Leaders on strategic narrative, roadmap, OKR and priorities setting, and content for the broader company
  • Support leaders and lead special projects driving the company’s highest priorities
  • Drive operational excellence through the creation of tools, processes, and ways of working that empower leaders and team members to make their programs and initiatives more successful and connected
  • Translate and bridge quantitative data and qualitative insights across teams to identify problems and unlock meaningful solutions to improve project and company outcomes
  • Partner closely with peers and stakeholders across the broader company to assess existing programs, processes, and practices, identify gaps and inefficiencies and opportunities for significant impact and improvement
  • Perform ‘competitive intelligence’ in researching and staying current with best practices, innovations and trends among peer companies and in our industry

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have at least 5-7 years of experience in strategic functions such as corporate strategy, strategy consulting, strategy operations or product operations at complex, matrixed organizations
  • You have demonstrated experience with independently leading OKRs and goal setting processes, strategic projects and change management initiatives
  • You are able to fly at 30,000 feet in understanding our broad and long-term strategies and dive down to ‘sea level’ to translate them into near-term projects and priorities that help us make rapid and significant progress
  • You are excited by solving hard problems and collaborating across teams to deliver a solution
  • You can see the forest and the trees in terms of seeing the big picture but can distill it down to specific problems and solutions
  • You are comfortable influencing without authority and excel in building partnerships across different levels, functions and teams across the organization
  • You are a focused, organized, and results-driven individual with strong communication and influencing skills to drive a diverse set of cross-functional partners towards a set of defined goals
  • You are naturally curious about people and love learning from different backgrounds, working styles, and perspectives and adapting your own approach to be successful
  • You thrive in situations with a lot of ambiguity and change, balancing the need to be nimble and responsive in the short-term with driving longer-term progress
  • You are an exceptional communicator in both written and verbal interactions; clear, concise, and able to effectively distill the ‘so what’ for different audiences
  • Above all else, you are bright, kind and motivated by challenge

Why you'll love working at Stitch Fix...

  • We are a group of bright, kind people who are motivated by challenge. We value integrity, innovation and trust. You’ll bring these characteristics to life in everything you do at Stitch Fix.
  • We cultivate a community of diverse perspectives— all voices are heard and valued.
  • We are an innovative company and leverage our strengths in fashion and tech to disrupt the future of retail.
  • We win as a team, commit to our work, and celebrate grit together because we value strong relationships.
  • We boldly create the future while keeping equity and sustainability at the center of all that we do.
  • We are the owners of our work and are energized by solving problems through a growth mindset lens. We think broadly and creatively through every situation to create meaningful impact.
