Senior DevOps Engineer - Madagascar

Job Summary:
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and practices necessary for the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) of software applications. They work closely with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle, improve deployment processes, and ensure system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and operating the infrastructure on premises and on the clouds.
- Defining and implementing security measures across infrastructure and processes.
- Creating and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Deploying and orchestrating Microservices.
- Deploying and managing System Observability tools.
- Creating and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Automating the build process, environment setups, testing scripts, deployments, and sharing the operational metrics/debug information from the staging and production environments.
- Ensuring the quality of the product (functional, performance, security, etc.).
- Writing technical documentation and design documents.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree.
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, or a similar position.
- Experience Container Orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, etc.).
- Experience in Containerization tools (Docker, Docker Compose, Contained, Podman) etc.
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) etc.
- Experience in Configuration Automation (Ansible, Puppet) etc.
- Experience in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions) etc.
- Previous experience in deploying and managing databases.
- Experience in deploying and managing distributed systems.
- Good written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and well organized.
- Self-motivated, confident and takes ownership.
- Excellent English communication skills.
