The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, design, and execution of various dental facility projects, ranging from minor renovations to the establishment of complete dental clinics. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of technical expertise in dental equipment and facility design, project management skills, and a strong understanding of infection control practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead and manage all aspects of dental facility projects, including planning, design, implementation, and closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and status reports.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including dental staff, Facilities Project Managers, architects, contractors, and vendors.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Facility Design and Equipment Specification:
Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings to convey project plans and equipment layouts.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of dental equipment specifications, including dimensions, weight, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry requirements.
Conduct thorough evaluations of existing dental clinics to identify needs and develop solutions.
Collaborate with the Purchasing department to ensure compliance with county rules and policies for capital acquisitions.
Equipment Management:
Develop and maintain equipment repair schedules in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, infection control standards, and Joint Commission regulations.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on dental equipment.
Monitor and evaluate maintenance schedules and required equipment updates.
Calibrate new equipment before clinical use.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repair, and equipment updates.
Lead the planning, coordination, and scheduling of repairs and maintenance for dental equipment.
Analyze clinic needs and recommend equipment replacement or enhancement.
Develop and present training for clinic staff on the proper operation and preventive maintenance of dental equipment.
Infection Control:
Evaluate, implement, and monitor infection control processes and sterile techniques.
Inspect, test, and treat dental unit waterlines according to established protocols.
Provide input for infection control policies and procedures.
Evaluate staff compliance with infection control procedures.
Technical Knowledge:
Stay abreast of current dental equipment and technology by studying technical manuals and attending training sessions provided by manufacturers.
TO QUALIFY:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare or dental setting.
Proven experience in managing construction and renovation projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
Valid Driver’s License
Comprehensive knowledge of dental equipment and facility design.
Strong understanding of infection control practices in dental settings.
