Our Team is central to Akamai's commitment to get ahead of changes in the security standards space. We are a team of security, architects, specialists, and subject matter experts. We translate external security requirements into technically verifiable/repeatable processes that provide guidance to engineering teams and explain our procedures to assessors.

You'll work at the heart of Akamai's core, safeguarding the operational platform of Akamai's key products and infrastructure. Working across teams, you'll use your expertise to define best practices in designing, building and maintaining solid security controls. Lead, teach and grow with us as we create a safer experience for the internet community.

As a Manager Senior Information Security, you will be responsible for:

• Leading team growth and development and being a single point for FedRAMP compliance understanding for team activities
• Reviewing new technologies and products for FedRAMP compliance implications with internal and external security requirements
• Driving FedRAMP security compliance initiatives to completion
• Leading effort to improve Continuous Monitoring activities and processes
• Analyzing the effectiveness of security activities/reporting risks with recommendations to management by providing metrics on FedRAMP compliance programs
• Communicating effectively through clear written and verbal communications and engaged listening

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant security compliance experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrate experience managing FedRAMP compliance team for a FedRAMP authorized Cloud Service Provider
• Demonstrate passion for staff development and success stories in building effective teams
• Be passionate and excited about embracing new technologies
• Have a solid understanding of internet technologies and fundamental protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS
