Pay rate: $20 per hour
Employment period: February 2025 - August 2025
Hours:
- 5 to 18 hours per week, during winter and spring quarters
- 20 to 40 hours a week in summer quarter

GENERAL OVERVIEW
The University of Washington Bothell’s State Academic Rising Scholars (STARS) Program is seeking a dynamic and organized undergraduate student to join our team as a STARS Program Assistant. This multifaceted role involves managing office operations, handling student communications, and planning events to support our STARS program's mission. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and is committed to creating inclusive and impactful experiences.
This position reports to the STARS Program Director and collaborates with the STARS advisor, the Vice Chancellor of Student Academic Success (OSAS), other OSAS professional staff, and STARS Scholars.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
STARS Program Assistants are expected to contribute professionally and respectfully to our diverse and inclusive work environment and the following:
Event Planning
- Plan and coordinate events for the STARS program, including workshops, seminars, and social gatherings.
- Collaborate with STARS faculty, staff, and students to develop event concepts and themes.
- Manage event logistics, including room booking, Zoom links, and catering.
- Create and distribute promotional materials for events, such as flyers, emails, and social media posts.
- Maintain a detailed calendar of events and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Oversee event setup and teardown.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify
