Reports to: Manager, DevOps

A quick snapshot…

Conga is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us establish and employ Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery patterns and collaboratively work with other members to achieve successful continuous delivery solutions. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent attention to details, be self-organized and have a passion for DevOps. You should be able to work in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment.

Are you the person we’re looking for?  

Education and Related Experience. Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 5 + years of hands-on experience in architecting and building scalable software solutions, preferably including compute-intensive workloads, and delivering solutions with high availability.

Strong Understanding. Of microservices architecture, architectural principles for cloud-based platforms such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure, application servers, cloud and network security best practices.  Good knowledge of Network Infrastructure, such as routers, switches, Firewalls, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP model.  Good knowledge of container runtime engines such as Docker or rkt..  Knowledge of .Net Core/Framework, Java and JavaScript.

Industry Expertise.  Experience in deploying and managing production environments on public Cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Demonstrated Ability.  Analyze and understand complex problems and processes; ability to identify and understand requirements and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks such as Terraform and Cloud Formation.

Here’s what will give you an edge…

Certifications. Cloud certification in AWS/Azure/Kubernetes

Working Experience. Experience architecting or facilitating the deployment of solutions on Kubernetes, architecting Cloud-based solutions that employ fault tolerance functionality and disaster recovery capabilities. Experience designing solutions that implement security frameworks such as OAuth, WS-Security, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, Agile software development, preferably with working experience using solutions including Atlassian Jira.
