The Opportunity 

This position is restricted to those that have been a previous TC Energy student employee. Locations will include Houston, TX; Charleston, WV and respective field locations. 

 

TC Energy wants to invite previous students enrolled in a post-secondary education program to apply for future student summer opportunities. This position will provide a pool of candidates for positions with an expected start date in 2025. It is expected you will return to school in August 2025. 

 

The intention of this job is to provide broad exposure to TC Energy, get hands-on experience and build a rewarding career. You'll have the opportunity to focus on building your competencies and soft skills. In addition, you'll build great relationships through a network of experienced mentors. 

 

What you'll do   

  • Follow and ensure compliance with TC Energy's policy and procedures   

  • Provide innovative solutions to solve emergent issues   

  • Coordinate Process Improvement, Innovation & Initiatives   

  • Champion a culture of safety excellence within the company   

  • Effectively communicate with your team and stakeholders 

  • Monitor key performance indicators (most importantly, leading indicators) to track progress   

  • Be prepared to take on other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications   

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or alternate post-secondary program at a recognized college or university   

  • Previous work experience at TC Energy as a student   

  • Still an active student after your work term.  

  • Ability to work independently and implement proper procedures as required   

  • Ability to manage different simultaneous efforts, prioritize on work with most business impact, and eliminate non-value-added work    

  • Effective stakeholder management skills   

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships to reach company objectives   

  • Willingness to travel for work assignments as required   

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills   

  • Self-motivated and results-driven   

  • Excellent time management skills   

  • Ability to multi-task within a team environment    

  • You must be legally entitled to work in US by way of US Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a valid work permit
