Position Summary

The Tax Senior Analyst is an integral part of our Global Tax & Compliance function. This function prepares the Firm’s US tax filings, manages the payment of the Partners’ taxes in the 30+ countries in which the Firm operates, and works with management to ensure the Firm and each of its offices is in compliance with the relevant local tax rules. The Tax Team handles all annual and quarterly reporting of tax information to the Firm’s partners worldwide, provides information to the Firm’s non-US offices for local tax filings, and monitors tax compliance in every country in which the Firm operates.

 

The Tax Senior Analyst is involved in all aspects of tax compliance, partner tax and capital accounts reconciliations and other related analysis and reporting. Tax Senior Analysts interact and help colleagues and stakeholders in the U.S. as well as in global offices of the Firm to deliver timely work product with highest quality and accuracy. They help others on within the tax team and beyond to deepen their expertise, share knowledge, and upskill. This position requires an ability to work independently and diligently in a fast-paced, global and dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.

 

Our Team

The Global Finance team is led by the Firm's CFO and is made up of approximately 450 team members around the world. Committed to the Firm’s strategy for profitable growth. Our core functions include billing and collecting Firm invoices, statutory accounting for the Firm and individual offices, creating and distributing management reports, processing payments to vendors or reimbursements to employees and managing for our people. Together, we work seamlessly across our network of offices and countries where we operate. Our team’s remit includes partner compensation and the maintenance of partner equity accounts; strategic procurement of vendor services; global tax strategies; inventory management, and finally analysis of the profitability of clients, matters and groups of timekeepers. We work with partners and with other business services groups to establish hourly billing rates as well as client-specific fee arrangements. Our Treasury team is responsible for global cash management, foreign currencies and hedging.

 

In consultation with Firm leaders, we set annual global revenue and expense budgets across Regional Sections and offices, including legal and business service departments. The team continuously reviews expenditures throughout the year to ensure that the Firm's resources are being used efficiently.

 

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Prepare various schedules and work papers in the preparation of Firms Partnership Tax Returns (All Jurisdictions)
  • Maintain the Firm’s legal entities and tax organizational charts
  • Analyze transactions and prepare work papers for book to tax differences
