You are the Compliance Pro!

• Take the helm of the financial operations for multiple development projects, maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring precise reporting and analysis throughout each project's lifecycle.
• Uphold the highest standards of compliance, ensuring adherence to all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls, safeguarding the financial health of our development projects!
• Navigate the complexities of development finance, tackling risks and challenges with creative solutions to ensure project success!
• Skillfully navigate the complexities of development finance to ensure project success by creatively overcoming risks and challenges.

You are the Collaborative Guide!

• Be the key communicator, delivering clear and accurate financial information to internal and external partners, including investors, lenders, and joint venture partners.
• Empower stakeholders with financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, cost tracking, variance explanations, and forecasts to help make informed decisions.

You are the Projects Expert!

• Lead the financial strategy for dynamic development projects, managing budgets and tracking costs (hard, soft, and financing) to drive project success.
• Ensure flawless financial execution by overseeing draw requests, bank reconciliations, and financial statements while providing actionable insights.
• Analyze financial performance and uncover opportunities, guiding key decisions to maximize profitability and keep projects on track for success!

Requirements

Key Skills and Abilities Needed to Succeed in This Role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for experience in real estate or development accounting.
• Experience in preparation of construction draws.
• Demonstrated knowledge of job costs, real estate accounting principles and GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience using real estate accounting software such as RealPage or Yardi.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with construction pay applications.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Experience managing closings on property transactions.
• Strong ability to reconcile accounts, expenses, perform various analyses, and monthly/quarterly reports, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and strong skills in spreadsheet creation, and data analysis.
