About the role

The Payroll Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for designated centralized entities. This position is responsible for coordinating and validating time records, processing exception hours, and maintaining compliance with payroll policies and procedures. The role also involves managing payroll disbursement communications, maintaining data integrity with financial institutions, and supporting internal payroll operations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. They will bring a strong understanding of payroll processes and systems, effective communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Records, maintains, and performs a check and balance of timecards and hourly and salary changes through payroll systems.
  • Processes exception hours each week.
  • Answers and resolves payroll related questions and issues.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the payroll manager in the daily operations of the office.
  • Processes manual checks for corrections and special requests.
  • Processes third-party outbound and inbound files for payroll processing.
  • Maintains SOX compliance and confidential correspondence records and files.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationship with outside reps of assigned entities.
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates day-to-day work activity and maintains a working relationship with outside locations (Reps) and vendors.
  • Liaison to Finance and processes month end and account reconciliations.
  • Processes and maintains payroll tax accounts and payments.
  • Processes stock options and RSAs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Desired Experience

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of Oracle Cloud, MS Word, and MS Excel software
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including desktop computers, copiers, calculator and adding machine.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience
