The Role at a Glance

As an Actuary of the Annuity Inforce Model Governance and Stewardship team, the individual will be responsible for stewardship and governance of all fixed and payout annuity models, assumptions and documentation by performing comprehensive reviews for purposes of valuation, projections, pricing, financial planning, and strategic projects. The focus of this team is to deliver insightful, value-adding, actionable model risk analytics and governance to drive business results. 

What you'll be doing

•Work with cross-functional team to identify and understand required changes to AXIS fixed and payout annuity models.
•Oversee the development, implementation and governance of all fixed and payout annuity models, ensuring their accuracy, reliability and compliance with relevant standard.
•Responsible for reviewing and maintaining comprehensive model documentation and collaborating with model developers and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate documentation for all model changes, their review and testing impact on key reporting framework and evidence of required approval.
•Engage with model developers and other stakeholders to communicate model review findings and develop appropriate solutions.
•Manage the promotion of new models and model changes into production.
•Identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workload or enhance quality across the team

What we’re looking for

Must have:
•    7+ years of actuarial experience predominantly with annuity products
•    FSA/ASA designation preferred or more experience in the relevant field
•    Experience in actuarial modeling and/or valuation experience in GGY-AXIS
•    Experience in reviewing and assessing the appropriateness of complex models 
•    Strong organizational, quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Strong understanding of regulatory and accounting frameworks (Stat/GAAP/Tax/RBC)
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•    History of innovation and process improvement

Nice to have:
•    Experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
•    Experience with VBA, Python, or other programming languages preferred

The pay range for this position is $108,501 - $195,900 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performanc
