POSITION SUMMARY
The Build Team Supervisor will manage the workflow, output, and schedule of the department. They will continuously improve production processes and team members’ development. The Build Team Supervisor will take initiative to resolve issues quickly and escalate complex problems as appropriate while providing project and line status updates to management and the assembly team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages the workflow, output, and schedule of the department based on the production schedule.
Manages communication through department meetings, updating the department information board, updating status of production schedule, and direct interaction with leads and employees.
Continuously improves production processes by measuring KPIs (key performance indicators), determining gaps and areas for improvement, and working cross-functionally (including Manufacturing Engineering) to develop and execute action plans.
Promote a culture of open communication and trust through employee engagement.
Drives a culture of quality by designing and implementing effective control gates and checkpoints throughout the assembly process, ensuring products consistently meet or exceed quality standards.
Guides employee development by providing actionable feedback, targeted coaching, and support for training initiatives.
Promotes a culture of safety and transparency by consistently demonstrating a commitment to company policies, actively listening to team concerns, and ensuring open lines of communication.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.

Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, and tape measure.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
High school diploma/GED required.
An Associate degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, or any other manufacturing-related program is preferred.
3+ years of previous supervisory experience preferred.
1+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven ability to guide projects or mentor individuals is preferred.
3+ years of experience working in a production environment required.
5+ years of experience working in a production environment preferred.
1+ years of hands-on fire truck product knowledge from either a manufacturing or fire department perspective preferred.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude required.
Skills:
Language:
Able to effectively communicate with tact and diplomacy at all times to develop relationships with internal and external contacts to provide excellent customer service and conflict management.
Able to follow written and verbal directions and communicate new information that could affect project trajectories.
Able to communicate goals effectively to a team.
Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Math:
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Computer:
Able to operate Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint at an intermediate level.
Abilities:
Able to work professionally with all levels of the Rosenbauer organization, customers, and vendors.
Able to deal with problems involving a variety of variables in non-standard situations.
Able to proficiently deal with internal affairs concerning employee issues and conflicts.
Demonstrated ability to be organized, flexible, and easily adaptive to evolving and fast-paced working conditions.
