We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented, individual interested in being part of an innovative research team supporting nuclear power material testing. Your Day-to-Day:

• Work with a multi-disciplined team of engineers, scientists, and technicians to test and implement analytical and radiochemistry analysis methods and equipment delivering high-quality results.
• Support analytical radiochemistry analysis systems by designing tests, developing instrument methodologies, writing and maintaining procedures, training operators, responding to emergent requests for technical assistance, and interpreting and evaluating data. 
• Define and oversee material testing and characterization in a radiological laboratory environment.
• Identify and investigate technical issues and challenges, driving successful resolution
• Work collaboratively with a global team of engineers and technicians
• May telecommute from home 2 days per week 

 

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Able to work efficiently on multiple tasks and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Limited travel may be required, customer and vendor meetings, and relevant technology conferences.
• Knowledge of nuclear power plant systems
• Hands-on experience using of spectrometry and chromatography equipment, troubleshooting, and analysis methods (gamma spec, ICP-MS-QQQ, ICP-OES, IC, FTIR, etc.)
• Radiochemistry, analytical chemistry, or inorganic chemistry course work and laboratory experience
• Experience or the desire to learn gamma-ray spectrometry and other radiochemistry techniques, including sample preparation, method development, data processing and data analysis
• Experience with training or teaching in technical subject matter

 

Experience and Education

 

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredi
