Job Posting Description

The Waltham Multidisciplinary Clinic, Clinical Assistant will be responsible for:

• Working with interdisciplinary team including other clinical assistants, physicians, advanced practice providers, social workers, child life specialist and administrative staff, etc.
• CAs will duel report to nursing in DoP for clinical competencies and Director of Operations for administrative functions.
• Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions.
• Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse.
• Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
• Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks.
• Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e.  obtaining, measuring and recording  routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic).
• Restocking supplies and equipment as needed.
• Working 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:00p.

To qualify, you must have:

• 1-year CA experience, CNA certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.  Of these, 1 year Clinical Assistant experience is preferred. 
• A HS Diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to: exchange information on factual matters, greet visitors, explain hospital policies and relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work on a team.
