Associate Operator, Production - Sanitation

Location: Schenectady, NY

On Site - Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour

 

                                                          

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position.  Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided.  

 

An Associate Operator, Production - Sanitation, provides and maintains a safe, sanitary, and enjoyable place to work following all SHE guidelines and Life Saving Rules. 

 

Produces quality ingredients and finished products to a pre-determined operations plan under general supervision.  Acts as a member of a team. Performs assigned duties and operates process equipment in accordance with Key Performance Measures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) regulations.  Maintains end-to-end process comprehension and coordination. Conducts activities such as sampling, testing, material handling, record documentation, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, general housekeeping, etc. Cross trains in multiple processes.

Responsibilities: 

  • Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls.
  • Clean Lab spaces as directed.
  • Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones.
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory, notify Line Manager when supplies are low.
  • Remove debris and snow from sidewalks directly in front of exits.
  • Empty interior and exterior trash and recycling bins.
  • Perform minor repairs on machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.
  • Clean and maintain restrooms, locker rooms and showers.
  • Cleaning and washing of windows and mirrors
  • Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
  • Operate floor scrubbers, shampooers, and other equipment.
  • Dust furniture and fixtures
  • Cleaning tasks and frequency may change as needed
