GENERAL FUNCTION
The Principal Cyber Security Defense Product Owner creates the conditions enabling wisdom to flow from our SEIM/SOAR and Cyber Data Ecosystem to empower leaders to make data-driven decisions for the direction of the cyber security program and our cyber security teams to protect, detect, and respond to ever changing threats and fast-moving threat actors
The individual will collaborate with the Director of Cyber Security Defense Engineering, and other key stakeholders and partners throughout threat interdiction, information security and the bank to define and prioritize features, lead the implementation of product roadmap deliverables, capabilities, and adoption to support security outcomes, while managing a robust, continuous prioritization process to maximize total value, risk mitigation, and other benefits throughout information security. With deep expertise in developing technologies that support threat interdiction and data-driven intelligence, reporting, and metrics generation in a cyber security context, the Product Owner will leverage SAFe (Strategic Agile Framework) methodologies adapted for the faster paced threat environment supporting security operations, ensuring the team backlog aligns with the needs of partners and consumers throughout information security and technology, and managing the team’s backlog by prioritizing, articulating, and delivering new features from ideation through production release.
Operating within the Bank's risk assessment framework, they will achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting all types of risks. Additionally, they will facilitate all governance processes as defined by the Enterprise for products in the space.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspire and motivate teams to deliver on the strategy and roadmap for continuous growth and improvement of product outcomes and experience.
- Partner with IS teams, business functions, IT, Risk, Finance, Operations, and other key partners to define and execute product strategies.
- Establish annual goals, objectives, and outcomes for products and customer satisfaction; track and monitor key performance indicators and outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Lines of Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Fraud, Architecture, and related functions, to gain agreement, approval, and guidance.
- Act as a subject matter expert in the domain, providing guidance and support to business partners.
- Provide transparency and ongoing communications with line of business partners and key stakeholders.
- Make decisions in complex situations to drive key outcomes, supporting regulatory and compliance needs, new revenue growth, process optimization, and other business-wide analytics needs.
- Engage in research with threat interdiction leaders to define and implement customer usability testing and concept validation, gaining insights and identifying customer needs and solutions.
- Partner closely with third parties to cultivate relationships, understand product releases, remediate defects/outages, and ensure a seamless experience for employees and customers.
- Maintain and provide product information to users and partners for training and other documentation.
- Actively monitor industry trends and participate in industry forums, professional associations, and conferences.
- Collaborate with SAFe teams on creating and maintaining a healthy product backlog, creating/reviewing/accepting backlog items (user stories, defects, technical spikes, etc.) and participating in team ceremonies such as sprint reviews/demos.

What you should have
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and related work experience.
- 8+ years of related experience.
- Expertise in strategic development and program execution.
- Solid product management background required; Strong presence with ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization.
- Advanced consultative and well-articulated communication and writing skills with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Significant experience working with software and data engineering teams to create fit for purpose products.
