What we look for in this role  

Our Finance Team is growing and seeking an energetic self-starter who shares our passion for delivering an exceptional Transcarent experience to our clients and their employees, our Members. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for designing, operationalizing, and delivering a seamless billing and payments experience, with a strong focus on timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling revenue cycle processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.   

What you'll do for our team 

• Design, build, and scale the end-to-end billing and payment processes related to our Care Experiences, including SurgeryCare, MSK Care, Telehealth, Behavioral Health, Oncology, and others. 
• Serve as an internal and external subject matter expert on Transcarent’s billing and payment workflows 
• Troubleshoot operational issues and problem-solve independently and cross-functionally   
• Develop qualitative and quantitative metrics to assess performance, provide recommendations, and enable strategic decision-making   
• Partner with external and internal cross-functional teams, including Sales, Client Success, and Solutions, to identify key opportunities to grow and improve the billing and payment experience based on member, client, and marketplace feedback  
• Support Billing Team management by finding and implementing solutions to benefit team, improve processes, and create efficiencies 

What we’re looking for 

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher)  
• 5-7 years of experience building and managing a billing and/or payments function 
• Background in healthcare, digital health, or a related discipline - startup experience is a plus 
• Strong listening skills to gather requirements and understand the technical and non-technical aspects; willingness to speak up, ask questions, or request clarity when something is unclear 
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; follows processes and procedures, but conscientious about continuously improving and creating more efficient and effective methods 
• Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity – ability to approach complex business problems in a logical, structured way  
• Ability to shift focus when priorities change without losing sight of original tasks and deadlines 
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills  
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving organization with a willingness to be flexible and pivot when needed  
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders 
• Experience working and collaborating in a remote environment, mindful of information privacy (HIPAA) 

Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity.
