About the role

Safety Worxs is seeking a Spanish/English Bilingual Field Safety Specialist in McDonough, GA (30 miles SE of Atlanta, GA) to assist with a construction project until Summer 2026. 

The Field Safety Specialist plays a vital role in promoting and enforcing a culture of safety across construction sites. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring the company’s safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing guidance to field teams on safe work practices. The Field Safety Specialist partners closely with site leadership, subcontractors, and employees to identify hazards, conduct inspections, deliver training, and support the prevention of incidents and injuries on the job site.

Requirements:

  • Local to McDonough, GA preferred
  • Spanish/English bilingual
  • Minimum 3–5 years of field safety experience in construction, industrial, or related environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, construction safety regulations, and safe work practices.
  • Safety certifications preferred: OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, CSO, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and educate diverse field teams.
  • Ability to recognize hazards, assess risk, and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with safety management systems (e.g., Procore Safety, SiteDocs, or similar).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Assist with the investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans.
  • Track and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure timely reporting and documentation of incidents and safety observations.
  • Support daily site safety operations and ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA (or provincial equivalent), and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits.
  • Identify unsafe behaviors or conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in site safety planning meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task hazard assessments.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb 135ft of stairs multiple times per day.
