Manager of Delivery Management

The EIT Project Management Office (PMO) is seeking an experienced and dedicated PMO Manager for its Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), Information Security (ISS), and Information Delivery (ID) portfolio. In this role, you will lead a team of junior and senior Project and Program Managers responsible for overseeing complex projects and programs. You will collaborate with I&O and ISS stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure project quality and value delivery, address project status inquiries, contribute to portfolio strategy, and resolve issues.

Given the nature of projects managed by this team, a successful candidate must have experience managing people and projects in this space. Reporting directly to the PMO Director, you will join four other PMO Managers in implementing robust standards and prioritizing the development of our team. Our PMO, comprising of over 30 dedicated professionals, actively fosters a positive and supportive atmosphere. Note: This role requires occasional travel to BCBST headquarters in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages ongoing delivery operations and performance measurement of project delivery management services, including project planning, monitoring, control, reporting, and supporting tools. Provides agility in meeting variable demand.
• Provides oversight for a team of program and project mangers. Manages and leads EIT project management delivery of corporate Planning and Budgeting deliverables in support of enterprise project funding requests.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to lead and influence the definition of project delivery management practices and coordinates the delivery of these services with high quality, efficiency, and agility.
• Accountable for project execution and delivery based on defined Project Delivery Management framework. Ensures quality of Delivery Management team deliverables.
• Leads the definition and integration of Agile methods with the End-to-End delivery process.

Job Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

• 7 years experience in business or information technology project delivery is required.
• 3 years - Management and/or leadership experience required.
• Experience leading a project management office is required.

Skills/Certifications

• Strong leadership skills with a proven capability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization, with specific emphasis on delivering rapid results and cost efficiencies.
• Talented consensus builder, with the ability to influence across organizational teams to create alignment and resolve conflicts with win-win outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to interact with a variety of customers and stakeholders.
