About the role

The Opportunity: As the Director, HR Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational work of HR, including HR technology initiatives and implementation, HR service delivery and process management, employee relations and compliance, and people analytics. You will lead the HR team of 13 employees that tackles operational activities to positively affect the business. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the CHRO and HR teams are fully supported and can focus on the organization’s strategic initiatives and most pressing business-related people needs.  This role will report to the CHRO and be part of the global HR Leadership Team, which supports over 1,280 employees.

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Develop and implement HR shared services strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within HR shared services.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of HR systems and technologies that support shared services delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze key HR metrics and data to assess the effectiveness of shared services programs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of employee experience programs, tools, and initiatives to enhance engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture by fostering strong relationships with employees and promoting open communication.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations related to HR shared services and employee experience programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HR shared services initiatives into overall organizational strategies and goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HR shared services staff, fostering a high-performance team culture and promoting professional development.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to HR shared services and employee experience to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

 

 

To Qualify for the role, you will have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility, preferably within a global organization.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing an HR team.
  • Experience with managing a shared services center within a global service center, including the outsourcing of payroll services and implementation of technology to drive efficiencies and a positive user experience.
