Job Description

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance PHP and Java applications. Work on both front-end (PHP) and back-end (Java) components of the software.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) stack to architect and implement efficient solutions. Troubleshoot and optimize existing LAMP-based applications.
  • Implement and maintain applications using modern containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Ensure scalability and portability of applications across different environments.
  • Design and optimize SQL and DB2 database schemas. Perform database migrations, optimizations, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with various systems and APIs. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. and oversee effective testing strategies, including unit testing and integration testing.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in both PHP and Java applications. Implement optimizations to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, API documentation, and coding standards.

Qualifications

REQUIRED      

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior PHP and Java Developer with 6-8 years of hands-on development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, Java, and the LAMP stack.
  • Experience with modern containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in SQL and DB2 databases.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of fabrication processes and industry-specific challenges.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Understanding of agile development methodologies.
  • Certification in PHP and Java development is a plus not required.
