Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery across the site. This position is responsible for managing the daily maintenance tasks, coordinating with the Maintenance Manager, and overseeing a team to monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring it runs at optimal performance. The Maintenance Supervisor will also be responsible for guiding and developing the maintenance team while ensuring preventative maintenance procedures are followed effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Daily Maintenance Activities: Oversee and assign daily maintenance tasks to team members, ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor Equipment Performance: Continuously monitor the performance of all machinery and equipment, identifying potential issues before they cause downtime.
- Troubleshoot and Perform Repairs: Lead troubleshooting efforts for pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical problems, coordinating necessary repairs with the maintenance team.
- Preventative Maintenance Oversight: Take ownership of the site’s preventative maintenance program, ensuring tasks are scheduled and completed on time.
- Coordinate Maintenance Team: Supervise and develop the on-site maintenance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties.
- Assist with Facility Upkeep: Support the maintenance of the facility, both internally and externally, ensuring a safe and operational work environment.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of parts inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are on hand to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Manager: Report to the Maintenance Manager on daily operations, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting any strategic changes needed to improve efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a maintenance team.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and scheduling.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with other departments.
- Ability to manage inventory and coordinate parts procurement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle tools and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
- Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods during daily tasks.
